In addition to her roles at the ANA, Dana is a personalized nutritionist in private practice in New York City, committed to integrating science-based nutrition therapy into mainstream medical care as a primary approach to both prevention and treatment. As a founding member of ANA and former Director of Professional Development & Relations, she has been dedicated to creating a career path for personalized nutrition professionals as part of a collaborative healthcare system. Dana holds an MS degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and has received advanced training from NYU’s graduate school of social work and from the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and a licensed nutritionist in Massachusetts and New York, where she serves on the State Board for Dietetics and Nutrition. Before entering private practice, she worked for 3 integrative medical centers, including Canyon Ranch and Atkins Center. She also served as founding Director of Nutrition for Vitamins.com, where she developed a major web presence and multi-location public outreach service. Prior to shifting her career to nutrition, Dana had a successful career as a business executive.
