What support does the American Nutrition Association offer to the CNS?

• Become a CNS supervisor

As a CNS Supervisor you will help to advance the learning and careers of CNS candidates and, as such, play a key role in the future of the field of nutrition, as it transforms into a foundational tool in the prevention and treatment of chronic disease. By supervising CNS candidates, you will also have the opportunity to learn and grow as a mentor, gain support for your practice and add value to your clients’ experiences.

How do I pay my CNS annual fees?

To remain in good standing, a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) must renew their certification every five (5) years and pay the CNS Annual Fee each year. The CNS Annual Fee is due by December 31 for the upcoming calendar year and must be paid online. A late fee will be assessed for any payment received after the due date.

Failure to pay the CNS Annual Fee by December 31 will result in the certificant’s status being changed to Inactive for a maximum period of one (1) year. During this grace period, the certificant may be returned to active status upon payment of the outstanding annual fee and any applicable late fees. If the annual fee remains unpaid after the one-year grace period, the certification will be revoked.

Beginning in 2027, all BCNS fees will increase by 4% annually (year over year). This incremental approach allows BCNS to keep pace with rising operational costs while avoiding the need for the larger, infrequent fee increases.
