Jennifer Vitry, DCN, MS, CNS, LDN

Jen Vitry is a Doctor of Clinical Nutrition (DCN), a board-certified Clinical Nutrition Specialist (CNS), and a Licensed Dietitian- Nutritionist (LDN) and runs Vitry Wellness Clinic. Jen’s focus is assessing and supporting ideal absorption of the vitamin and mineral cofactors needed for effective and protective biochemical pathways. By optimizing the uptake of bioavailable fuel, we can create healthy neurotransmitters, boost metabolism and cognitive functioning while supporting optimal detoxification. Jen utilizes functional medicine labs in her practice to guide priorities including the GI Map, Organic Acid and Mycotoxin tests along and the DUTCH Plus gold-standard hormone test. She is an educator, researcher and writer in her field and specializes in gut health and hormone regulation.

Dr Jessica Drummond, DCN, CNS, PT, NBC-HWC

Dr. Jessica Drummond, DCN, CNS, PT, NBC-HWC, is a pioneering leader in functional nutrition and integrative women’s health with over 25 years of clinical and educational experience. As the founder of The Integrative Women’s Health Institute, she empowers midlife women facing perimenopause, menopause, and chronic conditions like long COVID, endometriosis, autoimmune disease, and metabolic dysfunction to reclaim their vitality through root-cause care. Dr. Drummond’s unique, evidence-based approach integrates advanced functional testing, nervous system regulation, and personalized nutrition to optimize resilience and well-being. A passionate educator and mentor, she has trained over 3,500 women's health professionals worldwide, bridging the gap between science and compassionate coaching to transform healthcare for women.

Dr. Sherie Viencek

Dr. Sherie Viencek has been in clinical practice for over 30 years as both a Chiropractor and Functional Medicine Nutritionist. She has owned and operated three private practices in New York and California and currently practices in Northern California. Her passion is helping women navigate hormonal transitions with a clear understanding of the intricate physiological processes involved.

Lina Begdache PhD, RDN, CNS-S, FAND

Dr. Lina Begdache is a researcher specializing in Nutritional Neuroscience, focusing on how personalized nutrition supports brain health and mental well-being. She challenges the “one-size-fits-all” approach to dietary advice by emphasizing the importance of age- and gender-specific strategies. Her research, based on large-scale behavioral data and tools she has developed, such as the Food-Mood Questionnaire, has identified distinct dietary patterns associated with psychological distress and resilience. She offers evidence-based insights into the roles of bioactive compounds, neurotransmitters, and the gut-brain axis and advocates for integrating nutrition into precision mental health care.

Tokunboh (Ola) Obasi

Tokunboh Obasi, MSc, CNS, RH (AHG) is the Owner of Well of Indigenous Wisdom School an online international program in herbalism and healing arts. She is a board certified nutritionist, medical herbalist and birth doula. Tokunboh Obasi has been working in the wellness field for almost 20 years. Committed to community holistic health, social justice, and education, she works heavily in community service. Currently, a Board of Director of the American Herbalist Guild, and Chair of the Admissions Review Advisory Committee, she was the 2019 award recipient for her notable work in supporting, diversity, equity and justice in herbalism with the organization. Her commitment to training local and online students in clinical herbalism and healing arts is an important purpose as it represents leaving the earth responsibly for the future generations.

Stephanie Thompson, MS, DMA, CNS, LDN, NBC-HWC

Stephanie Thompson is a functional and integrative nutrition specialist and the owner/clinician at Well, Well, Well Functional Nutrition in New Orleans, where she helps women navigate hormone dysregulation related to stress, poor gut health, chronic conditions, and - of course - the menopause transition. Her approach is informed by both clinical training and personal experience, and she's passionate about helping women feel heard, supported, and empowered. Stephanie Also enjoys mentoring CNS candidates as part of the team at the Clinician's Incubator. When she's not diving into all things hormones, you'll likely find her onstage making music or doting on her very spoiled cats.

Certification Requirements

To be eligible for the Certified Personalized Nutrition Practitioner (CPNP) credential, candidates must meet each of the following requirements:

1. Education

Degree and Training Requirements

Degree Requirement: The candidate must hold one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of nutrition, dietetics, or related health science field from a United States regionally accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent; or
  • Master of Science or doctoral degree in health science or medicine, from a United States regionally accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent;   

“Regionally accredited” means an institution that was accredited, at the time the degree was awarded, by a regional accreditation body in the United States which is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Degrees from institutions outside the U.S. must be from that country’s equivalent of a regionally accredited U.S. institution and translated. Licenses from countries outside of the U.S. must be translated and have nutrition in legal scope of practice.


Training Requirement: All candidates must have completed all three modules of the American Nutrition Association (ANA) Personalized Nutrition Practitioner Training program. Please do not apply to sit for the exam until you have completed the training program.

2.  Examination

The candidate must pass the Certification Examination for Personalized Nutrition Practitioners. 

The Certification Examination for Personalized Nutrition Practitioners is designed to test the knowledge and skills acquired by those who have successfully completed the educational requirements outlined above.  

The CPNP Exam is offered year-round and can be taken once the training is complete.

3. Experience

  • State license or certification as a healthcare practitioner in the U.S. with nutrition in legal scope of practice, including MD/DO, DC, ND, NP, PA, APRN, Pharmacists, RDN, or foreign equivalent; and

The Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists designates this activity for a maximum of 40 Continuing Education credits for Certified Nutrition Specialists.
