Meg Bowman, MS, CNS, LDN, MA, CHES

Meg Bowman is a licensed nutritionist and educator specializing in the powerful intersection of mental health and nutrition. She is the co-founder of several organizations that reflect her commitment to functional, compassionate, and evidence-based care, including Nutrition Hive, a functional group nutrition practice supporting clients navigating mental health, hormone, and gastrointestinal conditions, and Clinician’s Incubator, where she mentors postgraduate nutrition professionals pursuing the Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) credential. She also serves on the faculty of Nested Health Coach Certification, an NBHWC-approved program that equips providers with trauma-informed coaching skills.

Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN

Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN, is a nationally recognized Culinary Nutritionist, author, educator,speaker, and consultant with over 30 years of experience at the intersection of food, functional nutrition, and healing. Her book, What the Fork Are You Eating?, is a practical guide for anyone seeking to take control of their health and navigate food choices with clarity and confidence. She isthe co-founder of WTFork.com, a no-nonsense digital platform inspired by her book, that focuseson food, nutrition, and cooking. Stefanie holds a Master of Science in Nutrition from Teachers College, Columbia University, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist®, a Board-Certified Dietitian Nutritionist, and a graduate of the Chef’s Training Program at the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. Heracademic and professional credentials are grounded in a deeply personal journey of recovery fromAdverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), chronic illness, and disordered eating—experiences thatprofoundly inform her approach to nourishment and healing. In addition to working with a wide range of conditions, Stefanie has pioneered hands-on, trauma-informed culinary nutrition experiences that educate, empower, and transform. Her work bridges the gap between science and the kitchen, offering sustainable solutions for individuals, families, and communities.

Dr. Jennifer Champion, DCN, CNS, CN, LDN, BCH

Dr. Jennifer Champion is not just a practitioner; she is a relentless advocate for those seeking to reclaim their health and vitality. Her passion for helping others discover the healer within themselves is more than a career—it is a calling forged through the personal loss of her mother and grandmother, tempered by frustration with the shortcomings of conventional medicine, and ignited by a deep-seated belief that optimal health is within everyone’s reach. With a background rooted in integrative healthcare, Dr. Champion understands that true healing requires more than just addressing symptoms. The traditional medical system often falls short, focusing on disease management rather than health creation. Dr. Champion, however, refuses to accept that paradigm. Lisa Ackerman
Lisa Ackerman MS, CNS

As a nutritionist with over 10 years of experience, Lisa Ackerman MS, CNS works with individuals to enhance their nutrition without confusion or crazy diets. She is board-certified and credentialed, is a nerd for school and holds a Master’s in Nutrition and is currently enrolled in a Doctoral program. Most importantly she is passionate about supporting clients through their nutrition and wellness journeys through her private practice, Well Fed Wellness. In her free time she loves any outdoor activity where she can bring snacks and her dogs.


Taylor Groff, MS, CNS

Taylor is a Certified Nutrition Specialist with a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. She founded Foodhappy, a clinical practice dedicated to addressing the root causes of chronic symptoms through personalized, evidence-based nutrition. Through her work, she’s come to believe that community is medicine—just like food—and is often the missing piece in true, lasting wellness. Taylor now works alongside Dr. Mark Hyman, where she leads his 10-Day Detox program and manages the Hyman Hive, a community-based wellness platform.

Certification Requirements

To be eligible for the Certified Personalized Nutrition Practitioner (CPNP) credential, candidates must meet each of the following requirements:

1. Education

Degree and Training Requirements

Degree Requirement: The candidate must hold one of the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the field of nutrition, dietetics, or related health science field from a United States regionally accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent; or
  • Master of Science or doctoral degree in health science or medicine, from a United States regionally accredited college or university, or its foreign equivalent;   

“Regionally accredited” means an institution that was accredited, at the time the degree was awarded, by a regional accreditation body in the United States which is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education. Degrees from institutions outside the U.S. must be from that country’s equivalent of a regionally accredited U.S. institution and translated. Licenses from countries outside of the U.S. must be translated and have nutrition in legal scope of practice.


Training Requirement: All candidates must have completed all three modules of the American Nutrition Association (ANA) Personalized Nutrition Practitioner Training program. Please do not apply to sit for the exam until you have completed the training program.

2.  Examination

The candidate must pass the Certification Examination for Personalized Nutrition Practitioners. 

The Certification Examination for Personalized Nutrition Practitioners is designed to test the knowledge and skills acquired by those who have successfully completed the educational requirements outlined above.  

The CPNP Exam is offered year-round and can be taken once the training is complete.

3. Experience

  • State license or certification as a healthcare practitioner in the U.S. with nutrition in legal scope of practice, including MD/DO, DC, ND, NP, PA, APRN, Pharmacists, RDN, or foreign equivalent; and

The American Nutrition Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Nutrition Association designates this enduring material for a maximum of 40 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists designates this activity for a maximum of 40 Continuing Education credits for Certified Nutrition Specialists.
